OUR STORY

Hi, I’m Deborah Mahima and my husband is Noyal Mathew and that’s why we are called Deborah Noyal.

About Deborah 🫧

I’ve always been drawn to little things that make life feel beautiful.

A pretty bookshelf. Sweet little flowers. Warm sunlight coming through a window. A ceramic mug with something cute on it. A rainy day when the sun decides to show up anyway. A quiet evening with a cup of hot chocolate. A beautiful garden, a lake, a swimming pool, a good book, or clothes with the loveliest little embroidery.

I notice these things. I collect little pieces of them in my mind. And, eventually, I started drawing them.

But drawing wasn’t always part of my life.

As a child, I loved colouring. I also loved journals and planners—probably more than I needed to—and I could happily sit somewhere quiet and write for hours. I loved the thought that something I wrote or drew today could be found again years later and bring back exactly how I felt.

Somewhere along the way, I grew up and got busy, and I almost forgot about that part of myself.

Then, sometime in 2024, I wrote something very simple in my diary, to draw again.

And in 2025, I finally did.

I didn’t begin with a plan to become an illustrator or build a brand. I just wanted to draw like a child again, freely, playfully, without worrying about whether it was good enough.

So I started drawing.

I shared some of it on Instagram, met some wonderful artists and illustrators, and slowly fell deeper into this little world. In 2026, I began learning the technical side too - colour, proportions, illustration, the craft behind making things, and even how this whole creative business works.

But somewhere in all that learning, I realised something:

A beautiful illustration isn’t only about getting everything right. It’s about how it makes you feel.

The feeling of slowing down.
Of sitting quietly and making something with your hands.
Of putting a little piece of yourself onto a page.
Of finding joy in something small.

And I thought, why should I keep that feeling just for myself?

There was one night when I wrote down a prayer filled with questions and worries about what I was meant to do with my life. Later that night, during my devotional time, I came across words that spoke directly to the very things I had written down. For me, it was a quiet but unmistakable nudge to keep going.

And so I did.

Today, I make the things I genuinely love making - little everyday joys, things I find beautiful, things I would happily put on my own desk or carry around with me or write in.

I hope that when you find something here, you have that little “oh, this is so lovely” feeling.

That you want to take it with you.
Use it.
Keep it.
Give it to someone you love.

Because I think ordinary days deserve beautiful little things too.

And while Deborah Noyal is still growing and figuring itself out, one thing remains at the heart of it all:

By Jesus. For Jesus. Through Jesus.

Welcome to my little corner of beautiful things. ♡
